Yellow cylindrical Calcareous sponges

Yellow Calcareous sponges

Here are an other type of sponges which called calcareous sponges. They looks like cylindrical and tubular seems like needle on the surface of the ocean. They lives in the shallow water but not in the deep water that is why it looks like tubular sponges. Soft to touch and very velvety. I touched these sponges just once and i can not sure about all types of sponges are like smooth and velvety in touch of not. But i believe that i think all types of sea sponges are soft when you touch them.

Calcareous sponges are exclusively boat animals and also meet within a fresh water. They don't differ outstanding body dimension, live with shallow water by specific animals as well as colonies. Physique of calcareous sponges often cylindrical, tubular as well as sac-like, needle-like surface from the body. Adult animals could be arranged at the three known forms of irrigation programs.
  •  1.Askonoidnomu
  •  2.Sikonoidnomu
  •  3.Leykonoidnomu.
The mouth of the members of this class are usually surrounded by a thick rim of long needles. Most calcareous tubes painted scantily in grayish or brownish yellow. They have a very fragile body, which rarely exceeds in size 7-10 cm

Due to the shallow lifestyle, body structure and biology of calcareous sponges are more accessible to study than, for example, glass sponges. Interest among zoologists to this class protozoa associated with the fact that its various representatives can be equipped with all known types of irrigation systems and the example of limestone can be traced to the evolution of all types of sponges.

Earlier in the class of calcareous sponges isolated two squads. Hemocoel and Heterocoelous. First united sponges having the most primitive asconoid type of structure of the irrigation system.Second, the jaws of a higher level of development.Currently systematizes are moving to a more natural classification of this class of sponges, highlighting two sub-classes of lime Calcareous and Calcisponge. In each of the sub-classes of the representatives and primitive and complex types of irrigation structures, which are also significant differences in the structure of the body. As evolutionary development, the simplest forms of these sub-classes are moving to higher levels of organization.
